Atlanta is like no other city in the world. We have always been known as the Mecca of Black excellence. That excellence is on display in so many professions such as music, entertainment, and politics. It is especially true in Medicine. There are thousands of Black physicians practicing in Metro Atlanta, more than in any other metropolitan city in the United States.

We want to make it easy for anybody that is looking for a Black doctor in Atlanta to find one. We are creating a directory of Black physicians that live, work, and play in metropolitan Atlanta. It will be different from your average directory. This directory will be informative, fun, educational, accurate, and easy to use. 

This directory is meant to serve only as a convenient source for individuals to access Black doctors in the metro Atlanta area. It is not meant to serve as a referral, endorsement or approval of any particular doctor, hospital, medical school or practice group. We have verified the credentials of the doctors listed to make sure that they are licensed and certified in the state of Georgia, but we do not go beyond that. We recommend each person do their do diligence in verifying the level of quality care that you are seeking.

So it hurts me that so many people in our community can’t find a Black doctor when they are looking for one. That is why we created this directory….to help you find your Black doctor.

ACCESS TO CARE

When it comes to health care, Black patients historically have not received the same quality of care as our white counterparts. This is due to a variety of factors, including racial bias and disparities in resources. In addition, many Black people have developed a distrust for the medical field.

Research shows that Black patients trust Black doctors that look like them and have similar life experiences. Our goal with this directory is to provide the community with access to Black medical professionals who are committed to providing quality care for all patients, regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status.

Our Expert Doctors
